Dear friends, customers and community members,It is with pleasure that I announce that I am now the sole owner of the Event Center, formerly Upper Valley Events Center. This is a wonderful business that has grown and changed so much in the eight years that I have been involved. Our home-like main building, sprawling grounds and unique playgrounds have been the site of so many programs and special events and I am proud to continue to grow this business to its fullest potential.Starting in 2012, the Upper Valley Events Center will no longer be hosting weddings, parties or other special events. Next summer we will have a small tent, and the four peak wedding tent will be gone. We have already experienced some changes, as the Upper Valley Presents office, Kumon of the Upper Valley and Sarah Hill Music have moved out of our building, and we are no longer hosting birthday parties or renting out our bouncy castle. For liability reasons, our playground will no longer be open to the public. While we are sad to say goodbye, we are excited for the future.This fall, the Upper Valley Events Center has become the home of Super Heroes LLC – a private company that runs after school, in service, snow day, holiday and school vacation programs from children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. We currently have busses dropping students off from five different schools to take part in this inventive, enriching program created in the same style as popular former programs Summer Days Camp and Open Art Room. Rock School
Super Heroes LLC runs educational programs after school and on "out of school" days. The programs, which are designed and directed by Janna Genereaux of Summer Days Camp and Open Art Room, are basd on a philosophy of learning through play, creative experimention and scientific enquiry. The Event Center leases space to programs on a month-by-month basis and manages all buildings and grounds. In the past, the Event Center has run SAT clases, which may be available again if enough interest is shown.
The Upper Valley Rock School is now owned and run by Artistree. The Rock School leases Lewiston Hall from the Event Center, and shares a driveway, parking and bathrooms with our main buiding. Renting RoomsNew programs that are interested in renting space at the Events Center should contact the General Manager. We have several spaces that will be soon be available for rent, including office and program space. At this time we are no longer booking hourly rentals: all rentals will be leased full time.Grounds and PlaygroundsDue to liability concerns, the playgrounds and grounds are no longer available for public use. Children enrolled in our programs may use the playgrounds while waiting for their program, but must be supervised by a responsible adult. Similarly, children accompanying those enrolled in programs may use the playgrounds if supervised by a responsible adult. Please do not walk your dogs on our grounds.EventsAt this time we are no longer hosting parties, meetings, weddings or other events. The Open Air Concert series is not expected to run during the summer of 2012, but we may be available to host outdoor summer concerts for private parties who would like to use our outdoor ampitheater - our ability will depend entirely on the details of your event. We will not have an event tent next summer.

Janna Teaching
Janna Genereaux, Owner/DirectorJanna has been with the Event Cener for 8 years, and has recently become the owner. Janna is an artist by trade, and is working on her MFA in art and education from Lesley University. Janna has designed and directed several sucessful program in the past, including Summer Days Camp (through Upper Valley Presents,) and Open Art Room. She also designs and directs our current program, Super Heroes LLC.Denae "Dee" Barton, General ManagerDee joined the Event Center in July of 2011, when the business changed hands. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College and went to high school at Thetford Academy. She has worked for the Girl Scouts of Green and White Mountains, the Fresh Air Fund and Dartmouth Medical School's pediatric research department, to name a few.
